Comic-Con and Halloween what do the two have in common?

Last month, I had a chance to visit a comic-con show in Hamilton. It was more gore and dark villains from classic horror movies than superheroes from days ago. This is why I decided to hold off on writing the article because I thought it would be better to have it closer to Halloween. The event took place at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope, The show featured exhibitors, comic books, movie cars, cosplay contests, and celebrity autograph sessions. The atmosphere at the Comic-Con show was truly immersive, with eerie music playing in the background and dimly lit displays showcasing iconic horror movie characters. The attendees seemed to revel in the macabre ambiance, eagerly exploring the exhibits and engaging in animated discussions about their favorite villains. It was a unique twist on the typical comic-con experience, providing a thrilling and spine-chilling atmosphere for fans of the horror genre.

The question is can Comic Con be a huge influence on trends in the horror Genre?

The answer is yes as I found out from talking amongst writers and actors, because most of the scripts are sometimes taken from comics and revamped by writers for screen adaptation. So to summarize all the info obtained I was able to gather a lot for just being there a few hours.

-There is feedback from fans that acts important on existing trends in the horror genre. Additionally, Comic-Con provides a platform for filmmakers, directors, writers, and creators to showcase their horror projects, generating buzz and anticipation among attendees.

-Features panels and discussions with industry professionals, leading to the exchange of ideas and the exploration of new directions within the genre.

-The event also attracts industry professionals who may discover new talent or ideas that can shape the future of the horror genre.

-There is an increase in the fanbase and audience for horror content. The most important part is that the shows allow future collaborations and networking that sometimes go on behind the scenes of the audience by the sheer fate of being at the right place and at the right time.

-These collaborations and networking opportunities not only benefit the creators and actors involved but also contribute to the overall growth and innovation of the horror genre. They provide a platform for new talents to emerge, fresh ideas to be explored, and ultimately push the boundaries of what horror content can achieve.

-Attendees at Comic-Con act as an open-source platform to generate and influence horror reactions to future horror projects voicing their opinions and thoughts

-The interesting part is that it builds an open feedback loop between creators and audiences. This feedback loop is crucial for creators to understand the preferences and expectations of their target audience, helping them shape their future projects accordingly.

- The shows ultimately provide an opportunity for audiences to feel heard and valued, fostering a sense of community and loyalty within the horror fan base. This collaborative relationship between creators and audiences ultimately strengthens the horror genre as a whole, ensuring its continued growth and evolution.

It was interesting to see that the show featured an interesting list of celebrity guests to attend. Here are some that we felt were worth mentioning from the past and the present.

DANIELLE HARRIS is an American actress. She is known as a "scream queen" for her roles in multiple horror films, including four entries in the Halloween franchise: Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 as Jamie Lloyd, and Halloween and Halloween II as Annie Brackett.
